My final release from prison was September 2022 and in April 2023 I started an organisation called Khadys Dream which aims to develop an eco-system of support services for young people at risk of offending in the UK. We are currently at stage 1 which is delivering authentic workshops around the community in schools, youth clubs, community centres, and academies. This will enable us to build a brand and spread awareness also on social media platforms. Our workshop is based on educating young people about the real consequences of crime that usually go hidden in an authentic manner. The workshop consists of steps on entering the criminal justice system but also exposes the hidden challenges you will face that you didn't know. We separate from what they see on social media or hear on the radio to what is actually true, and also the ripple effect of their decisions. With the hope that once they understand the reality of entering the criminal justice system, they will understand they need an alternative option and that’s where we expose them to successful role models that are successful in their industry but are hidden. Young people need to be exposed to successful role models that look like them in different fields, to give them hope to pursue a career and live happily but first, they need to understand crime isn't an option.
